Capture leaks or drips from tanker trucks and prevent pollution with an Affordable Drive In/Out Spill Containment Berm. Convenient and economical, these secondary spill containment berms require minimal assembly. The 12" high end walls have a hinge stake design that allows vehicles to drive over and then snaps back into place for secure spill containment. Quick-erect PVC frames support the berm's longer sidewalls and also manually lower, if necessary.
Truck spill prevention berms are great solution to avoid ground contamination and comply with SPCC and EPA containment regulations. Use these drive over containment wall units anywhere trucks operate, such as construction sites or industrial facilities. Their low profile design is perfect for vehicle equipment maintenance as well as secondary containment when transporting storage tanks, overpacks, and other large containers.
Our portable, re-usable truck spill containment units are made from heavy-duty, chemical resistant Copolymer-2000 and come in three lengths up to 66' as well as custom sizes.
These berms are fabricated with rugged Copolymer-2000 material which is both strong and flexible, so highly rated for use with heavy equipment or vehicles like tanker trucks. This durable material is safe to use on a variety of surfaces including asphalt, soil, sand or gravel.
The drive in/out end walls use green urethane stakes for strong yet flexible support and structure. Perimeter sidewalls feature a durable PVC frame construction with swivel feet for quick and easy assembly.
Copolymer-2000 provides excellent chemical compatibility with oils, gasoline, water and other hazardous materials. For additional details, please see our guide below under Technical Information.
Using Track Belts (sold separately) is a good option to protect your spill berm investment and minimize wear from truck tires or heavy vehicle traffic on the containment system. An optional Ground Tarp below the berm will also provide additional protection from punctures or damage by rough terrain or gravel surfaces.
Use these containment systems for secondary spills wherever trucks transfer hazardous materials or liquids with a potential for leaks. Secondary containment berms are ideal for short-term or daily use whenever tankers or machinery operate and park. Their convenient design negates the need for other emergency response equipment like pop up pools or containment trays if a spill occurs.
This innovative hybrid side/end wall design is a more affordable option to other no-assembly units such as foam wall berms. However, they still offer the same convenience of true drive-in and drive-out spill containment without the need for manual intervention. Once the units are in position and the initial set up is complete, these spill containment products are perfect for ongoing operations or sites where vehicles remain in place for several days.
This drive in/drive out containment berm does not require manual adjustment of struts or supports; operators can remain in the truck to position either the vehicle itself or equipment inside the berm. Each end wall features flexible stakes made of urethane. These stakes provide both structure to the berm yet also allow vehicles to drive straight over the wall. Once wheel traffic clears, the stake walls automatically revert back into the upright position.
The longer sides of these spill control units use quick-build PVC frames for support. You may also lower these 12" high collapsible walls by hand to more easily maneuver equipment within the berm, if necessary. To collapse the side walls, simply swivel each of the frame "feet" by 90 degrees so they lay flat on the ground (when upright, the feet are perpendicular to the sidewalls).
Berms may be fitted with drain plugs (sold separately) to assist emptying them. After spill prevention use, empty or sweep the berm so it is clean, dry, and free from any contaminates. Fold and store the units in a suitable environment such as a safety cabinet so it is ready for future use to prevent oil spills or as emergency response.
