Our Resizable Modular Containment Berms help protect your business and the environment from damage due to hazardous material and oil spills. Configure these modular units into a custom spill containment berm for safe outdoor storage of IBC, spill decks, safety cans, and more.

These secondary containment systems are constructed from a heavy duty, anti-slip PVC liner, with foam block support walls that enable different perimeter arrangements. The low-profile, 6" high compressible foam walls allow vehicles and equipment to drive straight into the units, without manual intervention.

Offering excellent chemical compatibility, they are ideal for secondary containment of hazardous materials as well as spill prevention during fueling operations. Use spill kit berms and spill containment products for capturing leaks and oil spills to meet EPA and SPCC requirements.

Versatile Modular Design

Unlike other spill containment products, the unique design of this modular containment system allows you to design custom footprint configurations. Arrange the six foot wall sections, with or without corner pieces, to create containment areas of different sizes and shapes. They are available in 10 standard berm liner sizes—starting at 7' by 13 foot, up to 55' x 55 feet wide—making them perfect for a variety of secondary containment systems in the workplace.

Use smaller berms for storing spill trays, drip pans, spill containment pallets and utility trays. The drive-in capability makes larger berm sizes a great option for avoiding spills during vehicle fueling or maintenance operations. Spill containment systems help with stormwater management by preventing storm drain pollution from equipment and drum spills, or, leaks from overpacks and spill pallets.

After use, simply clean up the liner, fold it, then store in workplace safety cabinets for future deployment. The lightweight triangular foam blocks can be easily stacked on top of each other for convenient storage.

Durable Components

The construction of our Resizable Modular Containment Berm includes foam support blocks (to provide structure to the sidewalls) and a heavy 38 millimeter PVC fabric liner that is easy to clean up after use. Secure the liner into place by locking steel rebar rods (not included) over the material and into channel recesses that run along the tops of the foam blocks.

The triangular shape foam blocks include a polymer coating for additional durability and chemical resistance. Not only do they provide secure structure for the berm, they also allow easy equipment and vehicle access - simply drive straight over the low profile 6 inch high walls without any need to manually adjust them. The foam withstands repeated compression and automatically springs back to shape.

The textured liner material features an anti-skid diamond emboss print, which is beneficial for OSHA requirements by mitigating work place slip hazards. For secondary containment set ups using heavy vehicles, a track belt berm accessory will help prevent tire abrasion.

Spill Containment Berm Assembly Instructions

1. Clear the ground surface from debris or sharp materials, like rocks or twigs (using an optional ground tarp under the berm may help prevent punctures or damage).
2. Place and unfold the containment unit's vinyl liner.
3. Position the 6' foam berm wall sections under the liner, and approximately 2-feet inside its edges, using corner support blocks as necessary.
4. To secure the liner in place, insert 1" diameter rebar or steel rods (not included) over the material and into slots on the tops of the foam blocks.
5. Ensure rebar rods securely seat the liner into the foam blocks, place optional Track Belts inside the berm, and your spill containment system is ready for use.

Technical Information

Black Polymer-coated foam block side wall and corner block supports. Ultra-Grip 38 millimeter black PVC with anti-skid diamond emboss. Material has an excellent rating up to 20% HCL with no effect at 120F constant temperatures. Please refer to our PVC Chemical Compatibility Guide for more details.
