Used on rivers, estuaries, ports and harbors. If you needs for a oil spill equipment boom is for fast currents, long term deployment or you will be doing considerable towing, this is the boom for you. The OptiMax II is the most popular piece of oil spill equipment among clean-up contractors.
Features of the OptiMax boom include closed-cell foam buoyancy and vinyl-coated skirting. Both are non-absorbent barriers that will effectively block oil, trash and debris. The skirting barrier hangs below the water line 12 inches to keep pollutants from getting under the oil spill equipment boom.
The oil spill equipment boom comes with handles and anchor points. The OptiMax I & II are made of fully welded 22 oz. PVC material. The vinyl-coated polyester is resistant to UV rays. Marine grade aluminum connectors that easily connect together. Toggle pins provide the needed strength to create longer lengths and to eliminate weak spots. The OptiMax I & II are available in 25 foot, 50 foot and 100 foot lengths.
