Prepare for unexpected damage and quickly respond to surprise spills with a Drum Leak Repair Kit. Mends punctures, cracks, gashes or surface rot in most large, low-pressure containers including plastic/steel drums and cans.

Portable metal storage box contains a variety of tools with over 35 pieces: tapes, ball plugs, epoxy putty, lead wool, screw patches, hardware, and more. A must have item in safety cabinets as an emergency response spill containment solution—protect lives and the environment, seal leaks to stop spillage/prevent total content loss, and reduce clean-up costs.

Our drum spill containment kit includes all the quick response spill kit essentials for workplaces with large containers and drum storage locations. Ideal for sites using moving equipment to transport drums and where forklift punctures are a potential hazard.

Choose between standard steel, or, non-sparking tools for sites storing flammable or combustible materials.

This kit is only for use by Hazmat personnel with the necessary training and experience. Suitable for temporary spill control until the appropriate disposal of the container is possible. Ensure proper protective clothing is worn during any drum repair operations.

All Inclusive Kit

This leak control kit includes all the necessary tools and hardware to temporarily repair and salvage drums. Features a portable heavy-duty metal storage box/carry case with latched lid. Find everything you need to quickly mend and stop leaks in plastic or stainless steel IBC, overpacks, safety cans and 55-gallon drums in one convenient kit.

Contains an assortment of ball plugs, surface plugs, wedges, patches, tapes and repair putty. Also comes with the basic tools you need to work with the kit's different patch types, so you don't have to worry about searching for additional equipment. This kit is available with either a standard steel, or, non-sparking tool pack and drift pin for hazardous areas.

Kit Content Uses

• Hang bright yellow Barrier Tape to signify an area of caution and restrict access during drum leak remediation.
• Hot or Cold Hose Tape works best when the surface is clean and dry during application, to repair small holes in pipes or hoses.
• Lead wool will repair welds, hairline fatigue cracks, stress fractures or pipe connections; pack into cracks or piening into rims along the bottom of drums using a sharp screwdriver or knife.
• Fix-Stix epoxy putty works on small holes and cracks on wet, round or flat surfaces as well as pipes, elbows, and flanges - knead until the color is uniform, then apply so it secures permanently to harden like steel.
• Insert the Plug-N-Dike Plug Pattie directly onto holes to mitigate leaks.
• Cover a wooden wedge plug with sorbent pad then jam into a hole; both materials expand to fill the hole and seal a leak.
• Use ball plugs on deeply concave surfaces by inserting the toggle through the hole and tightening its wind nut until you restrict the leak.
• Taper surface plugs are for flat or slightly curved areas and attach the same way as a ball plug.
• For irregular shape holes/gashes or elongated skin breaks, use a stainless steel "T" Patch with the same application as a plug except the T-bolt straddles the crack - the wide surface area has a generous 1/4" thick neoprene pad on the facing and stiff, curved back-up plate.
• Where there are pinholes, stainless steel sheet metal Screw Patches with neoprene compression seals will restrict and stop flow (take care not to screw too tight and strip the hole).
• Foam Neoprene material may assist whenever extra gasket sealing is necessary for a successful repair.
• Use the rubber mallet and drift pin for rounding holes prior to patching.

Non-Sparking Safety Tool Option

This kit is available with either standard steel or non-sparking safety tools. Safety tools offer excellent protection against sparks that may cause fires or explosions in environments with flammable and hazardous materials. Use in drum storage locations where any combustible solvents, fuels, gasses or residues are present.

Ideal for industrial and high technology applications, our non-sparking tools are made of aluminum and bronze. The non-sparking safety tools also feature non-magnetic and corrosion-resistant properties.
